Huw Edwards - Operations Manager

Meet our Operations Manager, Huw Edwards who has been with us for almost 23 years!

Some of Huw’s responsibilities include how to look extremely busy, pretend to know how our systems work and yet somehow never gets to leave his office unless it’s warm….

Huw is actually a valued team member at Rugbi and manages our Warehouse Team, Printshop and Drivers, ensuring we operate safely, efficiently and on time.
He works very closely with all members of staff including internal and external sales and our suppliers to ensure our customers get the right products on time.

Huw is also our entertainments manager and organises our staff nights out, although his most important role is to organise our yearly Christmas weekend trip to Benidorm – for which we are all so grateful for.

He manages all our stock that includes placing minimum and optimum levels to ensure we are not out of stock of agreed items, taking into consideration manufacturers lead times etc. Huw also purchases our products when Nigel (our buyer) is on holidays. Huw says it is easier to say – “he does everything”
In his spare time, he helps out on our trade counter, although only for a catch up…

The best advice Huw could give is to ‘enjoy today and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.’

A fun fact about Huw is that he is a prankster in work, he’s always up for a laugh and doesn’t take anything too seriously. He also does a mean Freddie Mercury Tribute….
