Nigel Andrews - Purchasing

Meet Nigel, Rugbi’s Purchasing Manager.
Nigel founded Rugbi in 1987, so has been here since the very beginning… over 33 years!!

Nigel plays a vital role in Rugbi, his responsibilities include purchasing goods from our suppliers, ensuring they have sufficient stocks levels and the prices are the most competitive they can be.

He regularly meets our suppliers to discuss our purchasing habits, KPI’s, potential future stock issues as well as current levels and any new and innovative products.

He works very closely with all our suppliers and forecasts what we need in 6 months, ensuring we have stock on time. If not – he sources alternatives.

Although Nigel’s most important role of the today is ensuring the office has “Tiffin” after lunch. A tradition he set up in the beginning.
 
Nigel works very closely with all departments within the business, ensuring our customers can get their required products on time.
 
He is so well travelled that he is known as Gloria Hunniford to everyone in the office… we had to wait until he came back from Greece for this picture so he could show off his tan!
 
The best advice Nigel has received is ‘you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.’
 
A fun fact about Nigel is that he has completed the New York Marathon with the mother of all hangovers…
